Paint question ?
 

I am going to repaint the roof of my 1990 GMC 2500 Suburban...last time I painted it, I used NAPA Techbase color. It was around 10 yrs ago, and it cost around $90/gallon...I just spoke to the NAPA paint guy and to mix up a gallon of techbase color will be almost $1,100/gallon. I was speechless ! And...then I need to buy the additives also !!
My question is...where do members buy paint for their trucks...is there a place that is more reasonable ?

call another place he dont have a clue what he is doing .

there is paint that is crazy money and then there is not .

Sounds like a misplaced decimal. $110 sounds like a believable price hike over 10 years. Might call NAPA HQ and verify the price. Data entry errors do happen.

I have a local shop mix mine usually. Price depends on the color, etc.

If you have the paint code, check ebay. I picked up the gallon of metallic blue for my k20 for $200 last year. Watch as some is already thinned 2:1, so you are getting half the amount.

I would buy Summit paint before I paid over $500 for a gallon of paint. Advance Auto is just starting a new line of paint that is supposed to be reasonably priced.
