Reproduction 1968 Chevy C10 hub caps?
Is there a company that makes reproduction dog dish hub caps for a 1968 Chevy C10?
I am just wanting to make sure that when I search for hub caps that I dont buy a reproduction set being passed off as original when they are not original. |

I'm pretty sure that there are no reproductions being made for the 1967/68 hubcaps. You can still find some sets at swap meets and on this forum from time to time. Price is greatly dependent on condition.

It's not all that awesome, actually. I think the businesses that reproduce parts are missing the boat on hubcaps. I love OEM parts and prefer them over reproduction. But let us know when you find a nice set and how much you paid for them. We have Wheel Vintiques making the wheels in various widths yet hubcaps that everyone wants are scarce as hen's teeth. Such a simple part to reproduce and each customer will buy four. Even glovebox doors are reproduced. I don't get it. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone come out with them. In the meantime I'm hanging tight with what I have

I agree with Special-K on this one. It seems that there are dog dish hubcaps for some years, but nobody makes the 67/8 style. Just make sure if you find some they are for 1/2 ton, not the 3/4 ton.

I bought a set of nice restored 67 Doggy Dish caps and thought about selling them until I got lowballed on them . They now are very nice Wall Art as I dont deal very well with people offering half what they are worth if that . Besides , Im gonna build a couple of 67 trucks one day .

3/4 Ton have an inside lip and attach to the wheel with clips. 1/2 Ton have no inside lip and attach over the nubs of the wheels. I'm sure that someone can post pictures or do a search on the site - there should be plenty of pictures.
