Choppin block chassis

Searched all over and haven't found anyone on the boards or other forums that have used the full choppin block chassis. Really not much info or reviews on it. I'm looking to purchase one in the coming week and for 3k-7k less than the compared frames its hard to overlook.

Has anyone used this? Or did anyone look into using the choppin block but went a different route such as porter built, no limit, GSI, roaster shop??

This chassis will go under my '70 swb I'm install a 900hp ls9 and tk0600 or t56 magnum in.

Seems to good to be real. Remember the fragile carbon based unit that will be strapped inside. Cutting corners with Chinese components on a undriven show truck may be ok but with what your planning it may turn into a catastrophic accident. There are plenty of Utube videos showing under engineered vehicles in serious accidents.
Just my opinion but I would not go that way without documentation of all the component sources. For 900 hp, a reputable drag / road race chassis would be a must for me.

Don't know about the Chopping Block, but I saw the Acme Chassis Factory full chassis at LST and I thought they were amazing for the money.

https://www.acmechassisfactory.com/s...g_Chassis.html

I think it's too late now, but they were doing a deal where you could order and they would deliver to LST for no charge, I see you are close in College Station.

GSI Machine Fab always post videos on Instagram.
They seem to use jigs and chassis tables way more than most.
They have plenty of videos on YouTube.
Their shop seems to have more fabrication equipment than most.
Check them out.

I just looked at his profile and it shows he hasn't been on the board since:

Not sayin' he won't be on in the next day or two but just a heads up....

Getting back to it. I ended up going with a coil over chassis from Acme. I went to LST and looked at all the vendors. It was either Acme or GSI. GSI was nice but i guess they have tons of tire kickers at shows and they act like it. Griffen grabbed me and went through everything and steps. Talked for like 45mins, great guy and ordered chassis the following week. I do have a build thread on the general forum.

I went with No Limit over RS for that reason too. NLE spent hours with me sorting through what I needed.

Id like to see that! No limit was on the list but wasn't at the show or having anything near me. Customer service and a quality product sell me everytime. And I wont be buying anything from anyone that brushes me off.

And I'm glad you both made the decisions you did for the reasons/logic used. I can't tell you the number of times I've been ignored after inquiring about something @ a show.

Thanks for sharing your experiences!
