lower shift link removal from column
 

I need to get the oval/diamond bracket off, which means removing the lower shift linkage. I have read my manual but it is not clear to me. Anyone able to describe how to remove this part? Or, does anyone know where to buy this or something like the diamond shaped bracket in order to mount ididit Column to the firewall opening? 1972 k10 suburban with th350, tilt column.
