3rd Row Seat Storage?

Pulled the split bench 3rd row seat from our recently purchased '05 Tahoe. Won't be using them for some time and wanted extra cargo room. Best to store with backs folded or backs in upright position? Read somewhere about stretching the cables but can't find that reference again. Was not here on the board. Bit of a hassle getting the mechanism to operate. Was pretty dry. Thoughts?

Personally I would store it open. Is it leather?, If so I would condition it before I store/cover it.

I agree. I’ve had a seat that the dimples never came out of the vinyl

Seats are leather, will pick up some leather conditioner for them. Currently just covered with a bed sheet sitting on cardboard in back of my truck inside the shop. Will move to a more permanent and better storage situation soonest. Will also open them up and then cover with the bed sheet after conditioning.
