Np203 ??
Parting out 1979 K10. am I correct with the transfer case being a 203 ??

The easiest way to identify your transfer case, looking at the back of the case where the rear driveshaft yoke is located, focus your attention slightly to the right of that and if you see a 3-bolt cover about 2 inches in diameter it is a NP-205 (NP= New Process, as in the company that manufactured these transfer cases- New Process Gear.) If there is no 3-bolt cover it is the NP-203 full time. Np203 |

There isn't a 3 bolt flange on the back and I didn't see any tag on the front . Must be a 203 ,Thanks

shifter handle that looks like a old car 3/4 speed = 203
and the pics you posted it its a 203 from the looks of it . ;) |

203--- has a split case for the range box and chain box
