1977 wood dash bezel photo
If anyone has a close-up photo of a NOS or like-new wood grain dash bezel could you please send to me? My dash bezel is faded and darker then it was when new. The 1977 woodgrain color was lighter than other years. I'd like a good color photo of a like-new bezel. Thank you.

Thanks Mark! Yes, if you can take some photos in varying light would be great. I'm working with a company, Instrument Specialties, that says they can re-apply the wood colored material but they will need an example of the color/tone to match it. And I want it to look original.

The 77 bezel also had a thin chrome plastic trim around the outer edge. It usually falls off.

Picture of my original wood dash. Note>The tachometer does have a red
line for the RPM and the gear selection has a cover on it since the truck has standard shift. (Muncie 465). Larry :chevy: Attachment 1990818 |

Cool to see the support for the question that was asked. K25alive, can you show us the outcome of the work you're having done, and maybe a little about the truck? The details on these trucks is part of what makes them so cool.

Re: 1977 wood dash bezel photo
the woodgrain interior trim is one of my favorite parts of my 77! finding nice parts is a bit of a challenge though, my originals are faded pretty bad

To follow-up, I did finally install the dash bezel that I had re-chromed and the wood face overlayed with new material. The color of the wood isn't as light as the OEM 1977 color, but I can live with it. The truck is a 77 C10 short/stepside Big 10, 454/400. Original orange paint, it has some patina for sure. I hope to drive it to Hot August Nights in Reno this year.

Might not match per se, but it sure looks nice.
