Tilt Column

How do I identify year of a tilt column. This came in my 1970 blazer but has ignition on column so I’m sure it’s not 67-72. It is an automatic on column - must of came from a salvage yard as it has 4 speed automatic written in yellow marker on column. Can’t read the year could be 1988 or 1998?

Thanks in advance

Going off memory in the years, but they are visually identifiable easily. So easy even Steveie Wonder can do it. Pre 81's have a basic or blank stalk for turn signals, and post 81 have wipers on the stalk like modern cars.

Wipers weren't on the turn signal stalk until '83.

84 was the first yr GM for trucks that wipers were on the signal stalk.
The tilt stalk can be a tattle tail to what year and the steering wheel un less they change them, the length wiper stalk size shape. Keys some time give a idea main wire plug/ wire colors get close to the yr.
A few pic of the wheel parts get a few narrow it down.
83 the wiper switch was on the dash.

I have been told the center shaft/spline changed when we got air bags, so I would assume 1994 would be as new as it could be if it has an older style wheel. I am not sure what year the 700R4 was an option.
