64 1 ton panel
 
hello all I have a question, how can I tell what differential I have in my 64 chevy 1 ton panel, let me know , thank you all

Here a link to pictures of some GM rear axles.

You can count your bolts on the cover or the chunk.

If it is still original and it a Chevy, it will likely be the Eaton HO52/72. If it is a GMC it will likely be a Dana 60 or 70.

Correct, HO 72 for 1 ton. 5.14 ratio ( only axle and only ratio ). I believe I heard the HO 52 pumpkin is interchangeable with the HO 72 pumpkin. The HO 52 is usually found with a 4.11 ratio when removed from a V8 automatic '69-'72 3/4 ton 20 series ( non dana axle ).
