1976 GMC or Chevy?
 

Hey guys I cant remember if my truck is a gmc or a chevy. And this thing wont let me upload a picture but it's in my profile it's the red shortbed with moons. Since that pic (15 years ago) all the trim is gone only have a shell now. I'm 70% sure it was a gmc but idk. Any help is appreciated.

The VIN number indicates if you have a GMC or Chevrolet.

With no vin it's whatever you want it to be.

There is no VIN number on the dash? Or in the drivers side door jamb??

No the truck is a Frankenstein diff cab chassis doors ect dont have the grill and was contemplating whether to do gmc or chevy

They came off the same assembly line. One time at the dealership we got a new pickup that said Chevy on one side and GMC on the other.

I saved and blew up your picture and still can't read the fender emblem. I need to go out and look at mine and see if the overall shape resembles yours.

Looks like a well optioned truck for 1976. The "C" in the VIN indicates that it was born a Chevrolet. However if the VIN is missing off the cab, the truck could have had a different glove box door put on. Got any pictures of the truck?

Without the vin title and you being in ca..you may want to get vin and title worked out before you invest to much in it...
