1987 throttle body fuel pump help
I have a 1984 that I converted to a 350 throttle body. I used the complete engine, trans and the harnesses from a 1987. both trucks had dual tanks. I used all the 87 stuff. No matter what I do I cant get power to the fuel pumps. If I hot wire the pump it fires right up.Heres a few things I have done. New fuel pump relay. New oil pressure switch. New oil pressusure pod. Checked all fuses. New dual tank transfer modual . New right to left switch switch . new fuel sending units with pumps.Checked all fueses. I What am I missing .

Did you get the computer from the 87 also?
I am guessing that power is not getting to the pumps in the tank. One issues I had on mine was the ignition switch was out of adjustment, so it didn't power up things correctly. |
Re: 1987 throttle body fuel pump help
Computer was from the same 87 truck. Relay is activating. even if I run power to the bypass wire Nothing

Re: 1987 throttle body fuel pump help
Yes I have. Finnaly fixed it. Power wire that runs to the dual tank switch on the dash.Lost power . it runs to the outside of the fuse block. I seperated the block and cleaned the terminals and it now works like it should.
