question on shaving firewall...

is there any way to shave the heatercore/ heating stuff from the firewall and keep a heating unit in the truck. like an aftermarket unit thats not so big? probably a stupid question but i like the look of a shaved firewall but would like to keep a heater....

Most of the aftermarket units such as Vintage Air offer these. I shaved all the holes on my firewall and plan to use Vintage Air that all fits under my dash.

I think you'll have to go with an aftermarket unit to do it.

see i dont want air conditioning... i'm sure i will have to go aftermarket, but where did i find it? and has anyone ever done it.

might call vintage air or old air and see if they make a set up like you're looking for.
