1972 C10 dome light removal?

PO installed a new dome light kit. Chrome base, clear lenses and all.
Looks nice. Went to install an LED bulb, and found the wires were wrapped around the end of the bulb amd then snapped in? Wth?

I want to remedy this and attach the wires to the housing correctly, but how does the housing come off? I see no screws?

If it helps, they also installed a cargo light that is powered off the dome light. No manual switch. Dome light comes on, so does the cargo light.
Errg!

The chrome plastic base just pops in the truck holes. Pop it out and you can add wires on back of dome assembly.

I have thr cargo light option but i has a separate switch below the dome lighy

i would use a small toggle switch to control the cargo light and re wire to fuse block

Ok cool. Big mac, I do not want to scratch paint.

Do I just get a plastic trim remover between the housing and steel of the cab and pry off?
