60 Apache Clutch
Engine and trans was somewhat disassembled when I got this now trying to figure out how it goes back together, Is this the clutch fork return spring? If so where does the other end hook to? Apparently its not that necessary as I see my '62 one ton parts truck does not have one and hasn't had for what appears to be a long time.

Doesn't really show what the difference is that I can tell. Why would they be different and is this something I should be concerned with in my 6 cylinder to 283 conversion? |
Re: 60 Apache Clutch
The spring attaches to the bracket the pedal assy rod slides thru doesn't it?

Re: 60 Apache Clutch
The clutch fork return spring hooks on the end of the clutch fork, I can see that in the shop manual just don't see where the other end would hook. This is a '60 with the right hand hydraulic clutch fork.

Did the bell housing come from me maybe? 60 C30 under dash clutch return spring looked like this. Had a V8.

Re: 60 Apache Clutch
There was a round hole in the frame and the above mentioned spring seemed to fit so I ran with it. And yes Dpowers theres your bellhousing just out of sight to the right. From looking at the picture just now seems I need to grab my wrench off of the slave cylinder bleeder...
