86 Scottsdale steering wheel.
 
I have an aftermarket steering wheel on my truck with a Grant Steering Wheel Installation Kit 3163. I was kinds wanting to revert to stock but have no ides what parts I would even need. Anyone provide any info on this?

Not really. So once I put the nut on, so thats #1 on the diagram... I just stick the steering wheel on top and add a 2nd nut?

You need to have all of the horn button bits and those vary from wheel to wheel. Most pre airbag GM wheels will fit mechanically if not style wise. There is a spring backed contact that rides in the little cylinder on #7 that provides the horn circuit to the wheel.

IIRC - #1 is the nut that holds the wheel in place. #5 is a PITA lock ring that holds #6 in place.

If you are lucky the new wheel with match with the positioning of #7 and #6 and you can just pull the old wheel and install the new one. Sometimes you aren't lucky and have to remove #5 to adjust things.

This assume the Grant kit didn't replace some of the stock parts. You might be able to tell by pulling off the horn button on your current wheel.
