Searching for L E D headlight Hack?
2 Attachment(s)
There was a thread on the 67-72 build forum that I have tried
many different search words for. And I cannot find it again. So I decided to post a Question About what the member done. Has anyone removed the tabs on a sealed beam headlight, and Then installed the small Led pigtail lights. What I am looking to do is, Put 4 little Led's in a mower that I seldom use the lights but I want them to work if I need them. Here's pics of the lights. Thanks in advance for your help. Re: Searching for L E D headlight Hack?
could you not just splice the led pigtail into your existing harness? or use blade connectors on the led pigtail and plug them into the existing plug?

I am trying to use these sealed beams in pics.
and install 4 small LED bulbs where the terminals are. The seal beams are melting the plastic on the hood.;) Attachment 2023313 Attachment 2023314 Attachment 2023315 Attachment 2023316 . |
Re: Searching for L E D headlight Hack?
I think I understand ..maybe...your wanting to remove the filaments from the sealed beam and stick led inside the sealed beam bulbs?

Re: Searching for L E D headlight Hack?
I gotcha now...not sure how youd do that ,I searched and saw a video where they put the bulb in a oven and separated the 2 halves but that's about it..
how bright would they be with 4 leds in them? me..id just replace the whole glass bulb with some led bulbs.. |

Yeah I seen that video of separating the two halves  That would cause a Lot of issues with the (better Half) if I put these in the oven:lol: I will probably go with the Led (fog light type) about that size. I just thought it would be cool:ito: to keep the sealed beam. I don't need much light /as I will not use it after dark much. I just want something so there is no blank space. . |
Re: Searching for L E D headlight Hack?
What size sealed beam is that? If you search they may make an entire LED that replaces that and fits where the old one did. I run them in my S10, and lots of people use the 7" ones in Jeeps.
Edit: Looks like 4.5" tractor type??? Check this out https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...SABEgKH6vD_BwE |
