1966 C-10 Power Steering
5 Attachment(s)
I spent the last couple of months putting power steering on our inline 6 in our truck. I used a lot of ideas from this forum, and some of my own. I used a double D u-joint (both ends) to hook the steering column to the intermediate shaft. I layed out, and ground a double D on the end of my steering column shaft with a dremel, and digital micrometer. Took about 3 hours but turned out real well . Pics.

The modification to your steering column looks great. I'm going to have to do the same thing to my 63

Re: 1966 C-10 Power Steering
I used a piece of cut off double D to lay the outline out on the steering shaft. Then I used a dremel and stone to sneak up on it, measuring it often.....

Re: 1966 C-10 Power Steering
Thanks! That will definitely help when I go to do mine. I'm just adding a collapsible intermediate shaft for safety. Still keeping mine manual steering
