1966 C20 Rear brake line tee fitting
1 Attachment(s)
Gents,
I have struggled with this for too long now! I need some help. The rear tee on the C20 seems to be unique. I cannot find a replacement for it online. I mangled the threads and I don't know what to do now. I think my first step will be to try and clean up the threads. The fitting will not screw in far enough to seal. The angles required to bend in this box attached to the axel are not fun! It is a real challenge. If I cannot clean up the threads enough, what are your suggestions on a solution? ** The image flipped upside down when it uploaded.... the rubber hose enters through the top of that bracket, one line can attach from the left and one from the rear. Thank you! |

The threads don’t do the sealing, the flare does.
If the flare has a burr it won’t seal. Take the tee off and go to the parts store. They should have something that will work. Pick up some new pre-built lines too and put them on. I see one line with a slight kink. |

I am thinking maybe no one still makes a block like the original that will fit that bracket properly. |

I just finally realized what I am doing wrong. the block is supposed to sit ON TOP of that box, not inside it. :dohh::dohh::dohh:

That would make it a harder to work on.
