Soft top windshield headder?
Does any one make a piece to attach where the front of the top attaches to the windshield frame to attach a bikini or soft top. in order to avoid drilling in snaps or installing a rail. I thought I saw a link here a couple years ago. Does any one have a solution to the wind shield frame being pulled back over time by the soft and bikini tops. I do have a roll bar and I thinking braces from the roll bar to the 4 top mounting points on the window frame. All help appreciated.

Re: Soft top windshield headder?
I actually have one of those I never ended up using. Shoot me a PM if interested. I'd sell it for what I paid.

Re: Soft top windshield headder?
Might be a silly question, but what is PM? Did you get the molded piece and if so, can you send me pics? Thanks,
Chris. |
Re: Soft top windshield headder?
Did you buy it from somewhere, or did you make it? Can you send me pics? Thank You!

Re: Soft top windshield headder?
Unfinished project bought a front section off a double wall top. It would need some fiberglass work to seal the open end. How did you build the 1 you made yrs ago? I will get a photo.

Re: Soft top windshield headder?
Mine was a single wall top, so I just glassed it onto the top with epoxy and feathered it in. I used Matterhorn White Awlgrip paint, that i had left over from a boat that I built. It's very expensive and impossible to get in small amounts, but make sure whatever you use has a high UV resistance. I might have an idea about how to do the double wall, but send me a pic and I'm sure we can figure something out. By the way, I've seen it in other posts, but what is a PM?
