Tailpipe location?

1 Attachment(s)
I purchased this from RockAuto, and I am not sure which way it should be installed. Can anyone help? I presume it goes on the driver side?

And the straight section goes towards the rear?

That helps! Thank you!

Now - where do I get one of these?

The Walker part number 48111, says it does not fit a 1963 C20. Lookls like it might fit from the picture though.

Also, RockAuto lists a flange that has two holes, however, my exhaust manifold has three studs.
I presume the 230 and 250 CI motors had two-hole flanges and the 292 has three-hole?

I'm wondering if anyone here has used a resonator like this one, in place of a muffler.

I have a pair of those resonators at the very ends of my tailpipes. Nice units, well built and they do take the volume down a notch or two. Vibrant also makes one called the "Ultraquiet " and I have a pair of those too in front of my mufflers. They hush it up even more. Edit; I just read where you said "in place of a muffler". Sorry I missed that and no, I never tried that as think it would be kinda loud and I was looking to make it really quiet.

What mufflers are you running?

Well, I was just thinking of running the Ultra-Quiet muffler alone - how loud could that be? Probably quieter than runing glass-packs.

So, you're running the quiet resonators AND your mufflers? That must be a real quiet exhaust.

My mufllers are the Dynomax 20" Super Turbos and yes I run the Ultraquiets in front of the mufflers and the Bullets at the rear. It's pretty dang quiet. Not late model Silverado quiet, but yeah pretty quiet.
