'64 C20 clutch pedal linkage

The C20 reawakening is moving along. I've ordered all of the parts for the Z bar and lower clutch assembly from LMC and now looking to address the clutch pedal to Z bar linkage. What's there now is quite a mess.
My questions are this. Can I build a linkage bar from all thread and generic swivels, and are there bushings of some sort the belong in the pivot points?
Also does anyone have a photo of what things should look like?
Thanks again for all of your help.

Regards,
Desert Dog

Don't use all-thread, it's not very strong. I recommend something like 1//4 inch wall (half inch round I think) metal rod, It can be tapped for threads and then use threaded heim joints for the ends. This will provide strength, adjustability and smooth operation. It will last for years with heavy use and the heim joints can be easily replaced if they should ever wear out. I did this on a manual 67 GMC truck years ago and it worked flawlessly.

IMO using all thread should work especially if you use B7 all thread. A threaded tube would be better but not everyone has the capability to deal with threading a piece of DOM tube. On the '63-'66 truck the rod from the clutch pedal to the bellcrank pulls instead of pushes as the '67-'72's do. The stock rod is about 5/16" diameter with just a 90* on each end. Using heim joints/rod ends will definitely be an upgrade

Thanks for the replies sirs. I think I will move forward with the all thread and hemi joints. I like the idea of some adjustment and replacement potential.
