If you have chased one of these original P13 mounts for your ride, then you already know where these brackets commonly have problems/issues. Here are a couple of more pictures (w/flash on) showing the lower mounting tabs of this 68 spare tire mounting bracket, both surfaces of the lower mounting feet/tabs still have original paint and black primer present representing how nice the bracket is.

That would depend on if wanting to use a lug nut like OE for mounting the wheel, and if 1/2 or 3/4 ton and also year as lug/stud size changed on both. There is someone here on the board that had a wheel mounting fine thread carriage bolt reproduced but am not sure of the thread size. Given the cost of what the NOS or OE style bolts go for I would just use a standard coarse thread readily available hardware store carriage bolt for mounting the spare/wheel to carrier. Mel :chevy:
