tbi blues

hi,
i've replaced the starter switch on my 87 chevy with a 350 motor and tbi ignition. previously i was getting no spark and no fuel. now i get fuel but still no spark!
the distributor pickup coil is new and so is the coil and the distributor module. plug wires and cap and rotor are all new. the ohm readings check out on the coil.
i'm left thinking the reluctor on the distributor shaft might be bad. anyone know if this happens very often? there was surface rust on the reluctor when i changed the pickup coil but it wasn't loose on the shaft.

good point - i don't have a reader but using a wire to jump the a and b plug-ins i get a 12 flashing over and over - that's supposed to mean no faults i believe.
forgot to mention that there is 12 volts on both sides of the coil with key on and while cranking

Re: tbi blues

That is correct, the Ignition Control Module in the distributor - I have experienced several that were bad right out of the box, even some name brands! I have resorted to using only DUI modules and have not had any issues with them.
