Hi from Saudi Arabia

Hello!

it has been a long-life dream of mine to get a 67-72 c10 and it was almost impossible as to where I live here in Saudi we have plenty of 73 and up (mostly 76 up) c30 and GMC 35. finding a 67-72 that is local or was imported before the new rules which state that any car older than 30 years can be imported but only as a "show car" which you're not allowed to drive in the streets. So my chances of owning one that i can DRIVE is one in a million.

a local Youtube blogger that likes to wander around in small towns and document older cars happened to film part of a local 1967 c10 in one of his trips. only the tailgate was filmed. I contacted him and we found the owner. At that time I was at my job in an offshore oil rig so I sent my brother and he managed to convince the old owner to sell it to us!

here it is in the small town where my brother found it

after we got it home here it is at the tire shop

and here it is sitting at home for now until i can start working on it

the plan is a frame off restomod. My wallet is already crying from the shipping cost of parts from the US to this part of the world.

i bought a doner car which i plan on getting the engine and tranny from 2003 2500 LQ4/4L80E 2WD with 150K Miles i'll sell whats left afterwards

it was cheaper to get a whole running car than deal with junkyards as they were asking for $2000+ for the engine alone which can't be guaranteed

Thanks, everyone for the great community and awesome info!

Welcome aboard. I like both - the 3/4t suburban looks rust free. Cheers.

Greeting(s) to the forum . . .

Good to see that they are popping up like pennies , as in these older vehicle(s) . Wonder at how the previous owner obtained the truck because it s not an everyday vehicle ( in any region around world besides here , state side ) =)

What vehicle(s) show up on that side of the playground ?
