I need to order some new seals for the windshield and back window to install the glass, is there a good, better, best? Who sells the good stuff? Thanks

Gotta agree that Steele and SoffSeal are the best, but they are overpriced. As an economical alternative, I've used Precision on some rubber parts; they're reasonably priced, excellent quality, and have the best installation videos on YouTube. I kinda feel like a company that goes to the trouble to make installation videos that detailed should be rewarded.

I've tried both Steele and Soff Seal, soff seal is exactly that, soft and very flexible. Wasn't able to get my doors shut with Steele and it was aligned correctly. but with Soff Seal, the door shut 1st try and stayed shut for a few days to form. My .02 worth

adjust doors to fit the opening with no latch, so the door sits properly in the opening and the latch isn't being used to bring the door into it's final fitting spot. then install the latch and adjust that so the door fits the sheet metal height around it properly, then install the weather strip. if the weather strip doesn't let the door close it isn't a door problem, it is a weather strip problem. I had the same issue as my56 when I was helping a buddy redo his 54. the generic weather strip he bought was so stiff the door wouldn't close unless you slammed it hard and then it distorted the door kinda. he got some soffseal and it closed like it was supposed to and sealed properly. some will say you gotta leave the door closed for a week or so in the heat if possible and that will help the rubber set. I say, if it doesn't fit then it just doesn't fit. no use to strain the door and hinges etc because the weather stripping won't conform.
