It's been awhile.

Last time I had a 1970 Stepside, then life took over and had to sell.
But 2016 a 1972 GMC caught my eye and followed me home. It's been a great daily driver, 402 engine & 400 transmission and very dependable. Glad to be back on this forum again guys. :mm: |

When I found "Brutus" there was no carpet or insulation inside.
So that was the first thing to take care of, no rust (thank god) glued in insulation and fresh new carpet. |

After new carpet and glove box was installed I wanted some tunes & cup-holders.
But finding a split seat was kind of impossible for decent amount of $$, so built a floor console instead with speakers & old school NOS Sony cassette player combined using a Rockville amp hiding under the seat. Gotta have tunes while driving. The carpet & insulation made a big difference in both heat from the 2 exhaust pipes and engine noise & cup-holders is a must. Truck came with A/C but not connected and mostly roll the window down enjoying the warm Texas weather anyway. |

Engine has been pretty good, previous owner rebuilt the upper part, not sure exactly what was done, heads & valves maybe ?
Edelbrock carb installed. Only issues since purchase has been, drained the gas-tank, had 1 gallon of water floating around (behind the seat model) and rebuilt the carb & replaced fuel-pump + filter. Made a big difference, look at all the crud inside the carb: :uhmk: |
