Anyone identify this old GM heater box?

Curious to if anyone knows what this old GM heater deluxe is from? Been searching online with no luck so far. By the looks of it I'm guessing 1930's 40's. Its a pretty heavy unit.

Up into the early 50's many cars and all of the GM trucks could be ordered without a heater to keep the sticker price down. Then when you sat down with the salesman they would go "oh by the way, you are going to want a heater" and that may have been one of the units on the shelf in the parts room Deluxe because it appears to have defroster outlets and you can aim the doors to direct the heat.

It's a great looking heater that one might be able to fit a much newer heater core in that wouldn't be too expensive to do.

Often the trouble with old heaters is that it costs way more to fix them than you can buy the complete under dash heat only unit from Vintage Air for that puts out real heat.

Any part numbers on it? It has a lot of similarities to this heater on Ebay, advertised as a 40-42 Packard heater.

I'd say that those two heaters were made by the same supplier. Harrison or another company that made cooling system parts.

Up through 59, heaters in trucks were an option. Especially in the 3/4T and up. My 59 3800 panel had a similar style heater in it
Hell, everything was an option: radio, heater, electric wipers, pass visor, side mount spare, rear bumper, etc...
