Fuse for electric choke?

Ok I'm wanting to hook up the electric choke on my new Quick Fuel carb. Looking at old posts, I'm noticing the general consensus is to use the "ignition" spade in the fusebox to provide the switched 12v. I noticed several were suggesting wiring in an inline fuse when doing this. Isn't this redundant? Electronics aren't my forte, but the switched 12v from that spot on the fusebox is already fused, no?

Maybe!
Usually if you look closely it might say unfused.

My 81 has it in the fuse box. I think most of them have a place. Mine is top right, 20 amp.

These places are good spot, but not fused. The power feed wire to the block has a fusible link so the box as a whole is protected , but not fused at each slot & therefore needs an inline fuse when adding into these extra slots... at least that's how I've always understood it - please correct me if wrong!
