Question on headers

I have not found anything by searching. I have a 76 C10 step side that has been lowered. I want to keep it that way, but I am concerned about putting headers on it. The stance is of a typical car, not talking low rider or the like. Will headers for this truck end up being too low with a 3" exhaust? If so, can I get headers for another modem Chevy with a small block that will work that might bring it up a little higher?
I have been trying to google this information, but not finding anything conclusive. Thought I should ask here where you guys live this stuff.

Re: Question on headers

I run 3/4 length headers on my blazer and short box, both 78,s. I don,t think you can run a full length header unless is special and problely be expensive. I run 2 1/2 in. full length on mine, don,t know if you really need 3 in. but just me.

Re: Question on headers

I had a set of these on my 84.
No clearance issues.
I think you can get them in raw steel way cheaper.

Re: Question on headers

Most full length headers are as high as the transmission pan.

Re: Question on headers

I used Headers for a GM A-body on mine. The old cheap truck headers hung below the frame and the A-body headers are above the bottom of the frame rails. I also used a Tejas Steel transmission crossmember so I could tuck the exhaust up above the frame rails the whole way.
