Looking for gear shifter, turn signal, tilt lever kit

I have what I believe to be an early 80's model GM steering column in my '49 3100. I'm wanting to upgrade my steering column gear shifter, turn lever and tilt lever to an all chrome kit. Problem is, I can't find a turn lever for that kit that isn't the multi-function lever. I don't need the multi-function lever, I have a dedicated wiper knob and no cruise control. I need a simple, standard lever with the 'pin' style end that inserts and locks into the column. See pic for detail.

Well I made my own.

With that column I'd have to believe that is the only way you will get a turn signal handle that is just turn signal dimmer switch flipper.

Crossfire84 is going to have to explain how to get it done though.

That's what I did and it worked great.

You're looking for a lever with an end like the top picture, but it has to be chrome and look something like the bottom picture?

77-81 G and A body

There are no threads on the lever. It presses in and locks.

If I could find something like that but in the style in my first post, I'd jump on it. Looks like I'll have to machine my own, unfortunately.

I'm wondering if that non cruise handle might be a tad hard to find in a wrecking yard. I don't think my buddy who's family owned the local Chevy dealership for a lot of years ever sold one of those G bodies without cruise and tilt.

I'd still be walking though the local pick a part looking for one to get the shaft off though. You already know how to pop it out of the switch so that part should be easy.

I'm sure you're right. That's most likely why it's hard to find. I'll probably just buy the standard kit that's available and cut the flat end off the new part and the 'pin' end off what I already have and machine them both to mate together.

The original A car non-cruise factory knob unscrewed from the lever. Maybe it's as simple as unscrewing an aluminum knob from one lever and threading it onto the other?

Done.

That looks nice. It was definitely worth the effort.

Drilled 5/32" hole in the lever end 3/8" deep and machined the 'pin' end for an interference fit. Applied loctite 638 and pressed it together.
