53 Hood emblem
 

Can anyone tell me if a 47-50 hood emblem will fit on a 53. To me the font on the 53 emblem matches the font of the 54 tail gate lettering not the 53. The font on the earlier models match the 53 better.
I measure 6 3/4 inches between the pins on the 53. Thanks in advance!

I am pretty well positive that the holes for he pins in the emblems are in the same spots.

The 3100 shows that it is a 53 rather than a 51/52 (actually 52 with the push button doors if people getting the year correct when they comment on the truck is an issue. Hopefully it isn't because 95% will get it wrong no matter what anyhow.

That bar is to support the hood brace and they never changed it.
