1971 K/20 with 10,104 original miles
5 Attachment(s)
I have been working on buying this truck for almost 3 years. I finally got the call to come and get it. I drove just under 2400 miles round trip with an enclosed trailer to get it.
It’s a 1971 K/20 Custom Deluxe. It just turned 10k original miles. It’s been properly stored indoors it’s whole life and it shows. The guy I bought it from nought it in 1999 with around 8k miles on it. He took the original wheels and tires off and stored them. He added aluminum wheels, and a factory tachometer. I put the factory wheels with the original tires back on it. The truck was ordered with chrome hub caps, but he didn’t have them. So today I broke out my real deal, chrome not stainless, NOS hub caps and installed them. Also the truck would have had a white front bumper from the factory. I have no idea when it got a chrome bumper, but I’m guessing it was added when it was bought new? Enjoy the pictures. |

Here’s the nos caps. They had never been on a wheel. I guess they are no longer nos 😉

I have done anything but wash it. It still needs a good detailing. The underside of the truck is amazing.

That's awesome Joe, just awesome - glad the locking ring rims were saved in storage, with the original tires - they look perfect together on the truck. Proof positive that the lighter olive steering wheel on the darker olive non-tilt column of my 71 actually came that way - I never really knew if it was correct or not. This truck sure makes me miss ol greenie :)
Looking forward to more details and pics - this truck will be an incredible source of factory correct details! |
