Mike,
I like the cap on the truck. You definitely need to go see wheels through time Years ago my son and I drove a truck back to California from North Carolina The museum was one of our first stops We Got to meet Dale,(rip) what a cool guy Enjoy your trip ! |
Re: Maggie Valley NC
I can’t think of any better way to make that trip! I would love to do that...some day.

Re: Maggie Valley NC
Alright, alright, alright.
I just got off the phone with Rodney (the Guy that organized this show. He’s local to me :metal::metal:) He gave me the Quick rundown The gates open to the event 8 AM Thursday, with a cruise through the are that starts at 2 PM. Tomorrow I’m going to try to get by his shop tomorrow to get the whole schedule. Rodney used to hold a benefit show at our local Lowe’s but it got too big for their parking lot. I’m looking forward to Thursday |

Here’s a little update with the info for times.
Hope to see a few of y’all there. |
Re: Maggie Valley NC
Ugh, they finally move it (used to be my wife's birthday weekend every year - mid July) and it's on the weekend I scheduled a vacation.
Weather looks gorgeous this weekend too. |

I used to make the trip from NE Columbia to my new current house about twice a month, so I know the road and travel times well.:smoke: |
Re: Maggie Valley NC

Re: Maggie Valley NC
As usual, Rodney put on a great event.
Thursday was the only day I could go because of other commitments but we had a great time. We planned on “a couple hours” but ended up staying all day:lol: Talked to a board member, and was expecting to see more, but again I was only there one day. They have a nice swap meet area too. I scored a factory Heater control for my truck, in beautiful condition, for way less than half of what a new Reproduction one would have cost me.:metal: This same vendor had a pair of NIB (Not NOS) Sport Mirrors too. I didn’t ask what he wanted for them as I don’t need them. I’m definitely going to put this on my calendar for next year. I took some pictures of some trucks, but I’m having issues with finding them “in the cloud” I hope somebody has better luck than I’m having |
Re: Maggie Valley NC
I was there. It was a great show with 260 trucks.

Thursday there were about 50 or 60 trucks, and the swap meet area wasn’t full yet. I’m only about 30 miles from Maggie Valley but I’m looking at getting a cabin there for the three days.:smoke: I’m also only about 20 miles from Pigeon Forge, but the Rod Run has become SO large and traffic so chaotic, that it takes the fun out of being there. In addition, instead of a good show and enjoyable cruise, the strip has become a 5 mile long used car lot, for just about anything with wheels |
Re: Maggie Valley NC
Looks like it was a great show.
I just seen this video on U tube. Thought I would share. Maybe a Members video? Link:https://youtu.be/jz7m2ge4ZkM |
