Need advice about split design header for my
truck. 1969 inline six 292 with manual transmission. I have spot a pair but can’t decide if it will work because of the gear link arms. So if anyone can ashore me I would be more than great full. Send a picture of the split I mean. |

>>the gear link arms.<<
I assume you mean the 3-spd column shift arms? There shouldn't be any problem there. Any problem will be with the clutch linkage Z-bar. Other posts on this forum have also mentioned clutch linkage needing a little work. >>Send a picture of the split I mean.<< What do you mean? I recommend removing the locator pins on each end of the head. The pins unscrew and have the same threads as the other manifold mounting holes. The 3rd hole in from each end originally had threaded studs, but are usually missing. Installing threaded studs / nuts in all 8 holes will provide better sealing with tube headers and makes assembly much easier. |

with shorter tubs that supposed to fit the exhaust pipe (see pic) Any experience of that? |
Re: Headers
Hedman says they should fit no problem. https://www.hedman.com/product-detail/69310
