Blazer body mount question
3 Attachment(s)
I have a 72 blazer 4wd that has has some interesting mods from the PO. Can anyone tell me if these look like stock bushings? If I remove the aluminum spacers, will I be at stock height? This is my experience with a blazer, so I'm not sure what the stock ones would have looked like.
Edit: I apologize for the sideways pics |
Re: Blazer body mount question
Hi those do look like stock style bushings under the spacers, they could be the polyurethane ones instead of stock rubber. I personally would not reuse the bushings as some might have had more load on them than others that squished them down and that may require more shims etc to level properly. It looks like the previous owner did a body lift.
If you were going to go through all the work of getting rid of the spacers new bushings would make sense to do at same time |
Re: Blazer body mount question
I think those are the polyurethane ones
Check out this thread it has some pointers and diagrams http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=340108 |
Re: Blazer body mount question
I replaced my body mount bushings with rubber ones from Wes at Classic Heartbeat (he's a board member). The parts were first rate and the service was excellent.

Re: Blazer body mount question
Thanks for the replies! I'm certain these are rubber and not polyurethane. I'm just trying to get it back to stock height. I want to get rid of the body lift, as well as the suspension lift that is waaayyy too much for my taste. I will look into the set from Classic Heartbeat.

Re: Blazer body mount question
That leaf spring mount is scary. I would worry more about that then the body bushings
