lowering and need new leaf springs
blazer i am working on needs new leaf springs and i was planning on doing a flip kit in the rear.
some of the reading i'm doing seems that just a flip kit will be to low. should i buy leafs for another truck to either get more lift or lower without a flip kit? I am having a hard time finding a straight answer. |

Re: lowering and need new leaf springs
Typically a flip kit makes a Blazer too low causing other issues. One solution is to change the spring hangers to the 4x4 parts. Another solution according to Belltech is to use a flip kit but have your springs re-arched 2”. I bought new springs and had them re-arched but it's not together yet. I am interested in comments for or against this.

Lift shackles would need to be shorter than the factory length which aren't that long to begin with so I'm not sure how well that would work. I've never done it so not first hand, but it's not working out in my head on how you could use shorter shackles and not end up with other issues.
