NP208 Fixed Rear Yoke

I've read before that you can take the back half of a 1980s Dodge NP208 (with a fixed rear yoke) and put it on the front half of a Chevy NP208 in order to get a fixed rear yoke on your Chevy case, but I've never heard actually seen it done. Has anyone successfully done this? I have a Dodge NP208 with the fixed yoke and want to know for sure if it will work before I pull my T/case off my running truck to try and convert it.
