Thank you for the nice welcome.
Yes a nice truck, it needs love, it's a Fred Flintstone truck,
I've been welding the cab, doors, inner and outer fenders
for about 8 months.
Some examples.

Schönen Tag. Die Familie meiner Mutter lebt heute größtenteils in der Nähe von Leipzig, stammt aber ursprünglich aus dem schlesischen Rostersdorf, bis sie 1945 umzog.

I hope i typed all that right. I have no one to practice German with anymore. (Nor Portugese or Afrikaans)

Danke für die Begrüßung
Ja, klasse.
Leipzig ist nicht weit weg von Braunschweig
Unsere Nichte lebt dort.

Welcome to the forums, that is going to be a great truck and it looks like you have some skills tackling that rust!

I like BP sign of yours and America flag in the background - I guess that flag is to go along with your Chevy Truck ;-)

The truck looked cool when you started, but clearly needed some metal work. Great that you are getting that done and I hope that it doesn't tire you out too much to finish it. Please start a build thread so we can watch your progress. Welcome!

Grüße aus Kanada. Ich habe vor einigen Jahren in Flensburg gearbeitet. Schönes Land. Gutes Bier. Und schöner Chevrolet.

Did you find it easier to remove the cab prior to repairing the floor and roof areas? I am at that stage but your shop is much larger than mine so where to put it is a question. Did you brace the doors and such?

I will look at your build thread for some ideas of my own.

Viel Glück mit dem Projekt.

Re: Hello from Braunschweig, Germany

Thanks, Flensburg is a nice place. The cab does not need
to be removed from the frame for small sheet metal work.
But with my C10 it was necessary, I can get to everything
better that way.
I had built in reinforcement to support the cab.
