Give this a try.
EDIT: Sorry. I tried the search string, and it doesn't work anymore.

Make sure you leave the “space” between the number sequence and the text sequence, which acts as an “and”.

That works but I found you still get lots of unrelated vehicles in the threads.

Im not really sure what that is ... Is it a google search or a craigslist search? sorry for being so dim haha.

Im finding very little stuff for our trucks on Craigslist locally. Im starting to think everyone and their dogs have shuffled off to Facebook.

Thats a good one, do they have something like that so you can search cities only vs all of Craigslist?

try this insert the city you want where the "x" is.
XXXXXXXX.craigslist.org/search/cta?auto_make_model=chevy+c10&min_auto_year=1967&max_auto_year=1972

It is getting more rare to find buys on CL around here too. You are probably right about the Facebook thing.

Yeah, you can remove the “chevy|chevrolet” to get less but you will miss the listings for “1967 chevy truck” or similar.

Do you use search tempest at all?

Re: Craigslist search string/parameter?

When searching in Craigslist if you type 196* it will search for all years in that decade. For example "197* suburban" it will also work as "7* c20"
If your getting a lot of unwanted returns on your searches. Like my personal nemesis the dozens of Japanese take out engines that show up in every search that is remotely automotive related. You can have those excluded by putting a keyword in parentheses with a minus sign. I use (-jdm) to block the Japanese engine ads.

Re: Craigslist search string/parameter?

When I go to Craigslist here in the greater Seattle area, parts, by owner, and type in 1972 as the search parameter I get 124 hits. Now that's anything related to 1972 auto parts, not singling out C10. A bunch of those are duplicates, and board member Frank.

Now if I punch in 1972 C10 I get 11. Again some are Frank and another board member. That just seem like pretty slim pickings to me.

I get similar results when I do the same with the other years of our trucks.

My brother is a Facebook junkie, Im going to ask him to list stuff for me since Facebook seems to be the go to. I have other automotive things besides stuff for our trucks, plus I really dont want to ship anything I cant get in a USPS box.
