I found this 1970 JC Whitney so I bought it.
I will place this in the cab of my truck during Car/Truck shows.

Who remembers buying parts for their truck back in the day from JC Whitney?

I had a 1971 CJ-5 back in the day... and I could pretty much rebuild my Jeep from the ground up with that catalog. :)

I used to walk by the local car dealer with my notebook and write down the sticker price of a car and go home to my JC Whitney catalog , I would make a list of modifications I could do from exhaust to wheels to steering wheel and calculate the cost long before I could even drive. After I got a job and a 58 1/2ton Chevy I ordered an 8 track tape player and speakers with a description that made me think they were twice as nice as they really ended up being. I don't recall buying anymore after that. Although I have a 1974 catalog somewhere.

I loved getting their catalog in the mail. There were ours of entertainment in those. I had a few opel GT's back then and could even find parts for them in there back in the day

I remember buying quite a few things such as mud flaps from them. The thing remember best is a lace-on leather steering wheel cover for my '69 about 1973. It was still on when I restored the truck starting in 2010. The wheel has at least 90% of its grain and only a few minor cracks.

I bought several things from them in the '80s and '90s, including the grill guard my truck still wears. I once had speakers, an overhead console, fog lights, and an inside-bed tool box, all from Whitney. Actually, I still have that box, but it's mounted on a trailer now.
