Sealant for cab cowl bolts/screws ect
 

What are you guys using for all the screws and bolts, body trim bolts that are in screwed from the outside going into the firewall or vise versus. Wanting to keep water out .This would also need done on all the cab trim too that's on the cab.

They weren't sealed originally , But if you want to seal them further use some Butyl tape , Cut a 1" piece and run the screw/ bolt thru it and then rub the excess off for a clean look . :chevy:

Thread sealant would work also the kind for engine applications around water jackets usually comes with PTFE and is white in color. Protects the threads that poke through the bottom of the floor. Easily removed seat when the time comes.

Wipe off the excess and your good to go also.

a little black mammy tar, some urethane sealer, even some black silicone works fine

I agree it's always a good idea to improve what you can, but I wouldn't worry about sealing up the individual bolt penetrations through the cab. It's not a submarine, and you will have bigger issues with water coming in from other areas. The window seals, the door seals, antenna, heater box, cowl pinch weld, etc. are much bigger issues that you likely won't solve.

If you just want to protect the bolts from corrosion, some anti seize or quality grease should do the trick.
