How thick is the carpet, and padding?

I put those plastic sport buckets, and I sit a couple inches too high still. So to lower it further. I need to remove the factory sliders, and fabricate new brackets.

Incase you were wondering. I had a pair of them with seat covers. So I am using them for analogs on suspension seats I want to add. With out spending alot of money I may regret.
