Brake Pedal Height

I converted my 68 from drum to disc off of a 72, and added an original power booster. Is the brake pedal different with power brakes as my original pedal is pretty high.

Re: Brake Pedal Height

I don't recall about pedal height, but there is a different pivot point on the pedal arm for power and manual brakes.

Edit - pedal height is supposed to be 3.5" for manual and 2.42" for power brakes.

Re: Brake Pedal Height

If you put the bell crank assembly on when you installed the master with the booster, you will have to adjust the pushrod at the pedal. Are your brake lights on constantly, now? There is a spring to pull the pedal back. It should come all the way back to the stop pad. Maybe we should see some pics, if possible.
