The c10 guys bought a lot of them, the rubbers for our trucks were was meant for the 2 door models, and most of the the Honda Civics were 4 doors. I'm sure Honda is not making these any more, as that particular model was discontinued in 2009 or (13 years ago) |

Re: Honda Door Seals UPGRADE for C10 trucks
Hello all, sorry, but I don't get into town much.
My next opportunity should be this coming weekend. I originally thought a usps flat rate box, but they have gone up in cost a lot. I got your zips, I'll post the shipping costs here when I get them. Again, sorry, but I don't go to town much at all. |
Re: Honda Door Seals UPGRADE for C10 trucks
Oh, and I'll give Mike B first shot once I get shipping prices together, since he's been waiting on me for more than a week.

I found them.
I just need to get to town to check on shipping cost. Again, sorry about the delay. If you have noticed my other listings, I typically say no shipping because I know my circumstances. And if you have followed any of my posts, my health keeps me around the house. I sold my 65 because I just haven't been able to work on it. I'm slowly getting rid of stuff I had planned on using with my truck. I dug out most all I could find and gave them to the fellow who bought my truck, but I missed a few things. I hope to head to town around 3:30 this afternoon. Pacific time. Sorry, If anyone is in a hurry |

Re: Honda Door Seals UPGRADE for C10 trucks
So what am I missing here - reproduction door seals for 60-66 trucks are like 24 to 26 dollars per side on Ebay so what reason would anyone have for buying Honda seals anyway? what is the gain? they cost 5 dollars each or something?

Re: Honda Door Seals UPGRADE for C10 trucks
Actually, the Honda seals are more compliant and make the doors easier to close. No, they are certainly not $5/each. And they are not a 100% perfect fit, which is noticeable in the bottom corners where the trim pieces don't fit the seals well.
There's an older thread somewhere on this forum with a link to a video showing how a guy made the doors close easily using stock-type press-on seals. It was all about bending the flange that the seals press on to. He did before primer and paint. On a supporting note, someone at GMCPauls told me years ago that the usual cause for hard door closing is new rocker panels that need to have that flange "adjusted". The above applies to 67-72 trucks. |
