Were they Blazers?
In 1969, they made a Chevy and GMC K5. Was the GMC officially called a Jimmy until '73, cuz I personally have never seen that emblem on an original truck... Dinnut and I are kinda amiss on this one.

i say they made the gmc jimmy in 69-72 because they sell the fender emblems and gee_emm and other board members have jimmys...
http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/ecars/GM/Jimmy/Jimmy.html that is an all original jimmy... yet he beleives they were called blazers. |
GMC = Jimmy
Chev = K5 Blazer I have never heard K5 in reference to the Jimmy. |
notice how gmc trucks are refered to by many parts catalogs as c15 or c25 rather than the c10 and c20

Blazer- '69-'72
Jimmy- '70-'72 The Jimmy's had a fender emblem like other GMC trucks, but they said "Jimmy" in the box under the GMC letters, instead of "2500 V-Eight" or "1500 Custom," or whatever it may say in there. I have also noticed that the GMC's are lettered differently. A Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4 is a K/20, and a GMC is a K/2500. I guess GMC was just ahead of their time. |
here is a pic from Wes' catalog:
