Switching valve stuck....ideas or tricks
 

My 1991 V3500 isn't letting fuel through the switching valve .. plenty of fuel pressure out of the tank and none past the valve..any tricks to try or just replace the valve ?? Thanks

I would make sure you're getting power to both sides of the valve when cycling the switch. It powers both ways, not like the early switch that was spring loaded. If power exists, tap it lightly with the wooden end of a hammer while somebody cycles the switch. OR new valve time. Hatzie has some nice wiring diagrams he's posted up for diagnosis. Where in upstate are you? My uncle lives in Rock Hill

From what I've read/understand if the fuel pump is running
then the switching valve is sending power to the prospective
Side but the valve itself isn't moving.
Is this correct ??

don't think so, i think it would have to remain depressed to get continuous power to the solenoid inside which would burn it out

My switch is not spring loaded just up or down

Correct, the spring loaded ones are the ones that need continuous voltage when flipped to aux.
