front splindles

Hey All, My brother just bought a 69 c-10 to build, he wants to convert the front brakes to disc. Can we use 73-87 c-10 disc brake setup on it? will it match up? tia.

I know the lower ball joints/spindles are different for sure.

thank you. I'm guessing they will not work. since the lower control arm is different.

Yes you can use 73-87 spindles for the front disc swap on a '69. To do so requires swapping some parts which is common when swapping from drum to disc brakes.

Squarebody ball joints fit in the 63-72 a arms. That's what I'm running on my 63.
There's a specific set of parts needed for the squarebody spindle tie rod ends to work with the 69 center link, but definitely doable.
Or you could change completely to squarebody steering parts by using the power steering gear, pitman arm, idler arm, center link, tie rods, and spindles.
