17” wheels for k20

Anyone have suggestions for a 17” wheel for my 1972 k20? I have a set 16” old school sawblades that have to go.

guess it depends alot on what style your looking for..
8-lug 17s shouldnt be to hard to find

bobvilla67 08-09-2022 06:31 PM

True, not hard to find. Just looking for suggestions. I have brand new set of 17” tires 305/70/17 so figured I would just get new wheels

I'm running Pro Comps 17" on 33s. I like Alloy in a more vintage look.

I debated 16s myself, but figured I had more tire choices in 17. At the time I wanted a choice other than BFG AT, which seemed the only thing in 16.5 . Now, ironically, I want to got back to BFGs. The Hankooks I'm running right now howl pretty loud. It sucks messing up on a tire purchase.

Didn't know those existed ...good to know cause I love my 16.5 slots & those look similar.

Currently, I'm running 17" Hummer take offs; you can find them for a good price if keep an eye out on your local sale classifieds.

Purchased a set those in 17x10 for my truck a while back. Wow, they have gone up a lot! Oddly, US Mags does not have center caps available. Found some on amazon that fit.

Mag wheels for the win! Not a fan of beadlock style wheels myself. Really dislike the beadlock style wheel. Fake ones are useless. Can understand using real ones if needed.

30772 That truck looks awesome.

I don't like the bead locks either. They look like a kid with Acne. Just give me some good ole slot's. :metal:

Slotted dish mags are like blue jeans...They never go out of style.
