Is the truck Black, or the letters?
Fleetside or Stepside? The fonts are different.
We need pix.

Precut vinyl letters are available in white, black and chrome https://www.classicparts.com/ Search for tailgate letters. The search link would not link. I painted a set of the white decals in my main body color (single stage acrylic urethane) in case I did not like it. Worked out well.
