454 A6 A/C compressor question
 

Can anyone tell me what was the last year GM used the A6 compressors on the 454 trucks?

If you have an A6 and are looking to replace, I recommend this Sanden kit. I installed it on my 74 this past July and am very happy with it. A lot better than the A6 which is expensive and hard to get a reliable reman one.

Thanks for the article link. If their list of vehicles that used the A6 compressor is correct, then 1985 was the last year of the A6 in the trucks. I was trying to help a guy figure out what brackets he needed for an 86 truck.
